The authentication code of your Gogogate2 device is found in the user manual included in the product packaging.
Except in the USA*, a sensor is not needed in order to use the Gogogate2 device. However, if you do not have a sensor, you will not be able to know if a garage door is open/closed, receive status/temperature alerts or trace garage activity in a built-in calendar.
The Gogogate Team strongly recommends getting a compatible sensor to fully enjoy the Gogogate2 system.
*Gogogate2 is compliant with UL325 regulations. See legal notice: Please make sure your garage door is closed before you start installation. The Gogogate product and our door sensors are meant to be used with garage door openers equipped with photoelectric safety sensors (manufactured after 1993). These sensors are normally found at the bottom of your garage door and avoid accidental closing of your garage door if an object or person is on the path of the door.)
Yes! With Gogogate2 you can operate your garage door or gate remotely from anywhere. However, please make sure the free REMOTE ACCESS feature is enabled.
Note that Gogogate2 can be used remotely from a Smartphone using the Gogogate2 app and having internet connection (3G or 4G-LTE). You can also control the device from any web browser (Tablet, Laptot or PC) using the following address: http://xxxxxxxxxx.my-gogogate.com (replace xxxxxxxxxx by the Gogogate2 UDI*).
*UDI: Unique Device Identifier is a 10 characters long identifier unique to your Gogogate2 device.
Gogogate2 is NOT compatible with Apple Home Kit for the moment.
Your Gogogate2 is trying to connect to the old Wi-Fi network (corresponding to old router).
Change the settings of your new router (Name and password of Wi-Fi network) to match those of the old router. Your Gogogate2 will connect automatically.
Do a RESET to the Gogogate2 device by pressing the device until it beeps 2-3 times. Note that all data previously stored in device (users, alerts, events) will be removed.
Once the device restarts (approx. 2 minutes after pressing reset button), you will need to re-program your Gogogate2 device. Instructions here: http://setup.gogogate.com/ .
Both the GGG2-TWS and GGG2-WDS sensors are NOT compatible with the Gogogate1 device.
